Party Accessories Even though many gemstones, amulets and bracelets have been imbued with extraordinary powers the world over, lucky charms aren’t necessarily precious stones or tribal talismans. Cast your mind back to the most precious objects in your childhood, were they also regarded as special by others or was it the individual value placed on them? Various trinkets, scraps of cloth or ragtag toys are often the most valued lucky charms for children, and this fact can be taken advantage of by parents planning kids’ birthday parties. When it comes to organising your child’s party, there’s a lot to consider. From the invitations and guest list to the entertainment and menu, a lot of factors come into planning the perfect way to celebrate his or her big day. There’s the birthday cake, decorations such as streamers, balloons and inflatable animals, and also activities such as face-painting, fancy dress, games or having a clown along to make the occasion all the more special. But when it comes down to it, the everlasting memories of the party are formed by photos and party bags. If possible, try and get your hands on a Polaroid camera or take digital photos that can be printed by the end of the party, just so that each guest can leave with a special souvenir of the day. When packing party bags, make sure that they are bright and colourful, and packed full with party accessories and sweets, yet ensure that each bag has the same appearance and contents. Also have some spares on hand, just in case! Remember how much fun children have with Santa hats and Xmas crackers? Well the same goes for any child’s birthday party. Often the simplest measures are the most effective!
